FAIRFIELD, CT - Jordan says "SAY NO to 'Say No To Pugs' Shirts, and Dane Cook for that matter"

An angry blogger takes a stand against the ugly hate crimes committed by "comedian of hate", Dane Cook. This T-shirt was worn by Dane on another boring episode of Tourgasm, at which point Jordan immediately called for a boycott of Dane Cook and all things related.

"No one gets away with this, not in America", said Jordan when asked by reporters to comment. He later added "pugs need hugs, not negativity. In this post 9/11 world, can't we finally stop fighting against eachother and start focusing on the war on terror? Pugs are God's little sausages, they are enemy to no one."

It is unclear at this point how effective Jordan's boycott will be, but Dane Cook can be sure that Jordan will use all his available resources to even the score.

Thanks to the inability of my radio management to communicate with eachother and give me any right information (if any info at all), BROOKLYN WE BACK now has an unexpected chance at going out with a bang. We intend to do that by inviting anyone who wants to come to the studio and banging them over the air.

Moving At The Speed Of Silence-Apologies for the delay in posts recently. While the most recent ones have of course been good enough to read over and over again, there are more in the works from all around but no time to do them. Thanks to WVOF student radio, we will now have some more time on our hands - namely the 2 hour time slot that was once taken by the legendary BROOKLYN WE BACK radio program. If you don't know this is a brilliant show hosted by me (DJ Sam Whiskey/DJ Delicious, or whatever) and Drew (DJ Hank Storm). Together we made up the Fairfield Massive. We've enjoyed a bunch of experiences at the radio station so far, including doing every single show without any pants.Since the school year has started many of the selfish, bitchy students want their old shows back and a bunch of spoiled tart students want new shows so THE MAN thinks he can silence the voice of truth that is BROOKLYN WE BACK. I say fuck those students. Recognize quality when it's right there in front of you, licking your face.At any rate, tonight will be, as far as I know, our last show for the school year. We are planning (in our heads) a lot of guests/callers, important topics of the day, brilliant playlists with music that will represent us as people and maybe some suprises up our sleaves. I fear the future of Brooklyn We Back is in question at this juncture. Tuesday Night I will doing the show solo and I'm either looking for a guest host or a lot of callers. Unforutnately, DJ Hank Storm is unavailable due to an emergecny penile enlargement surgery. I have no choice but to go on without him, because as they say, "the dong must be long, but the show must go on". I'm taking applications for guest DJs right now in the comments section or through email.
The phone number for the show is 254 4111. please call and keep me entertained and talking, but call with good shit to say. but dont swear, like i just did.

After this week I'm not sure what is going down. Program manager Chuckie Spoons says that if all the returning student DJs want their shows back WVOF wont have room for ANY of the summer shows. That means the axe goes to Brooklyn We Back (and Radical Jewish Culture, my other show). This could be a very hard thing for the community to take, and it would be a hard blow for the radio world. If such a tragedy should occur, don't fret - this wont be the end of Brooklyn We Back (in all its forms).

So for now, stay tuned to the show Tuesday night at 8pm on 88.5 FM or steam it online live.

Episode VII (I think) The New Music That Isn't Released Yet Among Other Songs Show

Sorry for the lack of effort in putting up playlists recently. I'll post our 2 famous "Cover Songs" show playlists as soon as I can. For now, here is what you heard or missed last night in, what I consider a very solid and funny show with a great set list.

We recorded 80 minutes of it (only 80 due to our limited technology and knowledge of said ology... which turned out to be more like 53 minutes) so if you want to hear these songs with our witty commentary, clever asides, discussion on social issues of the day and entertaining conversations with Max, my twin brother and a new segment called "Grey's Anatomy" where Drew's little brother calls in and yells at us requesting songs he knows we dont have. It's great.

We attempted to play a majority of songs from albums yet to be released that we illegally downloaded, but we sort of abandoned that as a goal and incorporated those songs with other songs that are near and dear to our heart. Episode VI: The Empire Strikes Black... or Indie Rock Fest: a hipsters wet dream

This was our Intonation Wrap Up show showcasing many of the bands we enjoyed at the Intonation Music Fest in Chicago curated by Pitchfork Media (.com).
On the right you can see one of the many pictures we took at the festival, this one featuring Drew with one of the young black boys that he lured back to his hotel later that night.

Our show usually features many of the artists that performed anyway, but we wanted to do a whole show dedicated to it (except the intro track, of course)... it didnt quite go as well as I planned.
Most of the show was spent making fun of Pitchfork's comments about certain bands... here are some examples of what we were making fun of:
About Pelican:

a respectable throng had gathered down front, leaning heavy on the barricade with obligatory devil horns dutifully raised. With cosmic force, Chicago's finest instru-metal infantry drove each measure in mechanic repetition: a hulking, forward motion gaining exponential force before crashing down like an ocean tide punishing the earthen shore. Dusty manes thrashing in the heat and detonating crushing sound blasts without reproach or remorse, Pelican drew fresh attendees, jaws agape, like carnivores to the kill.

About Four Tet:

The Theremin-flavored electro-vocalese on the latter, when heard in the direct sun on this scorching day, resonated like a hymn to Ra, with Hebden's constant tweaks and on-beat dropouts shoving the music forward. One labored dissection of a trebly gurgle went on a little long, but the broken beats eventually healed and took over completely to end the set.

... WHAT????!?!
Do they know what they sound like? they sound like a bunch of vaginal products, like a bunch of bitches. Like college students trying to hard to sound cool and uber intelligent in a stupid college music journal that got too popular for no reason.

As our show is only 2 hours and we don't plan ahead, we ran out of time without finishing what we wanted, as we always do. We neglected MANY of the Intonation bands, and many of the ones we actually wanted to play.
But Drew stole The Decemberists' tambourine and we had an impromptu jam session with it on the air. it was either a complete success or a complete disaster, but i did it mostly to annoy the DJ for the following program on after us who insists on coming into the studio 45 minutes early every fucking week so he can hang around and bother us while we're trying to talk to our fans. GOD its SO FUCKING ANNOYING! i hope we freaked him out.

I HATE THE BLUEFISH!!! and i hate college radio that is funded by a baseball team which we therefor get our shows canceled for and have to promote sports games on a rock show. URGH

This weekend Drew and I will be on a sojourn to Chi-town to "cover" the Intonation Music Festival put on by pretentious music journal Pitchfork Media. This is a 2 day festival of some of the biggest (and also some of the best.. not always synonymous) indie-rock bands in this great nation. Their are 2 unfortunate sides of this story:
A. Intonation is the seemingly unneccesary nemesis of the FREE Siren Music Fest put on by the legendary Village Voice at the legendary ghetto/beach Coney Island. I go to Siren every year since its inception a few years ago, and I'm a little annoyed at
Pitchfork for choosing the same day to have their festival with better bands inChicago. But that's ok because since Pitchfork stole all the good bands, Siren don't have shit (except Spoon) this year.
B. Since Drew and I now "work" for my friends new online music journal called Titled, we had hoped and planned that we would be able to get backstage passes to this indie-rock music journals wet dream concert so we could take pictures, interview bands and steal food and equiptment from the bands we like. However, our soon to be majorly influential online music journal isn't off the ground yet and the ringleader of it could NOT get us any passes whatsoever. In fact, we had to get free entry passes from an entirely different source. So this post goes out to Bill for not getting us shit for being awesome and productive and ambitious music journalists.

Any ol way,
The point is that we will be showcasing all our favorite bands at said pretentious music festival and sharing our experiences NOT interviewing bands on our next show on Tuesday night.
This should be something to look foward to, because we will finally have a theme to the show and will be playing a majority of new and hip music for all you hipsters out there that don't listent to our show anyway.

Episode V: A New Pope

So show #5 started off differently than most shows... while we weren't organized, we had a certain flow goin to our random off the cuff play list. We kicked it off with a song that describes our entire show, "THE BOMB!", bitch. Then we sort of got into a 60's style groove and started to run with it which turned out pretty well, I think.

Just like always, the DJ for the next show came in 30 minutes early to annoy the fuck out of us...Let me paint a portait of him before I go on.
He's a scrawny skinny white kid, the whitest possible kid i know (in all ways). He wears think black glasses that could be either nerd glasses or emo glasses. You'd think he'd come in preparing for his emo rock show, but instead he comes in with his large latino DJ friend to do a Hip Hop show. When he comes in he talks to us in his normal, nerdy white kid voice, but as soon as he goes on the air his voice changes to urban-flavored hip hop DJ mode.
He entertained Drew with the story:

Yo so i was doin this event at the acoustic cafe and i went up to all these fine bitches and i'm like "Yooo girl you wanna get into the acoustic cafe fo' free, yo? you fine" and dey all like "im 20, it's 21 and over, so.." so I'm like "Bitch get the fuck outta here!"

Anyway, so another hugely successful show in the bag. We have a station meeting in 2 weeks so hopefully we'll be kickin some ass and getting shit done, staff-meeting-style!

Episode IV: Revenge of R. Kelly (BWB.3 Reloaded)

So this weeks show had a lot of potential, especially considering that, since our last show was canceled without notification, we had all our nut juice building up for a whole extra week.. so we were ready to bust out all over the radio with hours of material, except for 1 thing: we had a 30 minute R Kelly showcase planned and the station stuck us with this 14 minutes of promos. their idea was to force DJs to promote for the upcoming Live From Las Vetas progam they are doing every friday or something, but instead of a 20 second promo they thought "hell, why not make it 7 minutes and include boring ass service anouncements, the science of GLACIERS (zzz boorring)and a whole shit load of adds for the Blue Fish baseball. And in between that lets go ahead and fill out the middles with long sections of boring rock music just to make this promo EXTRA long and boring"
real great idea guys. I for one certainly would not tune into a show and wait around for 7 whole minutes to hear adds and boring ass PSAs. Playing one 30 second promo every 20 minutes is one thing, but playing a 7 minute block of bullshit every hour on the hour is a whole other ball game. thats fucking nutz! that shit is bananas, b a n a n a s!

Anyway, we debuted R Kellys urban masterpiece/ridiculous trainwreck conceptual operetta "Trapped In The Closet chapters 1-5" in its entirety, cut with R Kelly Comedy Classics like "Feelin On Yo Booty" and the new gem "Sex Weed" where he subtly compares sex with weed and literally calls sex Sex Weed. I'm not sure what the hell this man is thinking, I guess he took a que from the great Rick James who did a good job with the analogy for sex with Mary Jane... R Kelly is just a moron through and through.

We gave tickets away for the Digable Planets show at Toads Place on July 9th but no one who said they would call/listen actually did so some random guy got them. Thank you to all our loyal friends/fan out there...

Our fucking show got canceled tonight because WVOF's top priority for everything is the Boring-ass Bullshit Bridgeport Bluefish Bitches Baseball games (alliteration, yo). Who the fuck cares about the Bluefish game? NO ONE.

They didnt even tell us that our show was canceled, so Drew and I got all our shit together and made playlists and prepared conversation topics and went to the station only to hear from the douche bag Sports Director that we wont be going on tonight or any other tuesday when this pathetic baseball team plays - which is like 8 times this summer alone. FUCKING HELL. I was at the station earlier today and the Program Director couldn't have told me that it was pointless to take out a bunch of CDs from the station library to play on my show tonight because, well, I DONT HAVE A SHOW TONIGHT?! thanks a lot Chuck! you fuck.

Episode II: Attack Of The Crazy Apocalyptic Callers

This show was particualrly crazy. We had a number of callers who either weren't actually listening or were just listening so they could hear when we were talking on the air so they could call and interupt us. We had someone call and say they hate techno and never to play anything like the chemical bros, and from what i can tell the same caller called again to make fun of drew several times because we copied the Tenacious D skit about one of us quitting... he didnt understand the joke at all and said that
"If you were ever in brawl at wallmart that bitch wouldn't have you back. he runs out like a little pansy!" or something along those lines.
then we got the best/worst caller ever - a dude who wasn't listening to the show but wanted our airtime to alert the 5 listeners that the apocalypse is coming soon and there is nothing you can do except love eachother now. I think we can agree with the last part. He kept saying that "the enemy" was stronger now than ever and when Drew asked if "The enemy" was Bush he said "no man its much bigger than that!" but never said exactly what.... it made for quite an interesting show and a difficult time trying to get him to shut up.

So i was in the studio trying to record a promo for my other show on 88.5 (Radical Jewish Culture) and this other DJ named Jim who does a show called Radio Romance (you could say he doesn't exactly share the same musical tastes as Brooklyn We Back) came in to say hi... during his hour long stay talking to me while i was trying to work, he was trying to show me something on WVOF's slow-ass computers and he produced the quote:

"Come on man! I can fart faster than this!"

indeed you can, Jim.

I propose that anyone reading this makes it their business to use that phrase when something is taking a really long time from now on.

I decided to start a seperate page for Brooklyn We Back to add playlists, news, stories and pictures Live from the studio, yo! So check back for all the important updates and hot nude pictures from the crew.
Brooklyn We Back, if yall didn't know, is simply the best radio show ever. It trancends the idea of normal radio because it emits radio waves of pure awesome. Recently, scientists found that there is a gene found in a select few human beings which is is made up of the pure form of ass-kickingness, which is why the gene was officially named the KA gene, or the Danzig gene. Those that were born with this gene include: Danzig himself, Blackbeard the Pirate, Genghis Khan, Lou Ferrigno/The Incredible Hulk, Andrew W.K., Matt Greoning, Peter Cetera, Dog The Bounty Hunter, Steven Baldwin, Alec Baldwin, Ron Perlman, Amy and David Sedaris, Batman, Satan and finally Sam Whiskey and Hank Storm (aka Me and Drew). This is why we were ordained by powers beyond us (and that's saying a lot) to go on the radio and reach all the 45 people in range of 88.5 to serve the world a nice big glass of Hell Yes.
